figure you’re moving, if slowly, by today. Met Erik Timmel’s (sp?) brother-in-law over the weekend. He and Erik’s sister graduated from UMW and loved it, too. And he regrets not having the done the trail right after graduation. wishes you well, as your fan club here. mum

    Justin,

Am enjoying your hike vicariously – which is the best way because there are no bugs, no sore ankles and no sore knees. The pixs look great and I’m still very impressed you managed to get through the 100 mile wilderness so quickly. Congratulations on getting CAC 2010 Scholar Athlete Award.

    Love,

    DAD

Hey Justin! Sounds like you are having a great time by the looks of those naked hiking pictures. All I could think was, “Only Justin….” Keep up the blog posts as well, you could easily make a great book with these someday!

    Justin,
Rebecca gave me your link and I just caught up. Wow! I am thoroughly enjoying following your wonderfully documented and vivid descriptions. It brings back memories of my younger days living in New England. Thank you for the gift and inspiration…Sandy
    P.S. FME misses you!

    Justin,

If you make this journal into a book and it then becomes a movie I want Jack Nicholson to play my part …

    Here’s Johnnie!!!!!

Loved seeing all the pixs especially the one with you as king of the mountain. Must say your ankle looks quite swollen. I know you will consider all options in dealing with your ankle sprain but I hope you will hold back on cutting off your lower left leg just to get rid of the bad ankle and some extra weight. We all miss you, think of you often and talk about your postings. The journal is a fun read. Is it OK to take pixs of some of the characters you encounter? I picture them in my mind but, as you know, my mind is getting blurrier and blurrier so a pix of them would be nice.

    Love,

    DAD

Am I right that your last update was night 17? I miss hearing of your new adventures–even those experienced in an RV w/your foot elevated. Matt hit Gorham NH Saturday, got the package with another pair of boots and was headed out again today. I hope he’ll see some fireworks from Mt. Washington? Take care of yourself, we think of you everyday. I hope the ankle is healing quickly!!

    Justin,
My son and I met you today in Georgia. You were between Gooch Gap and Cooper Gap. Congrats. I hope all finished well. You are an inspiration. My son and I were talking after we met with you and wondered, “What do you do to follow this feat?”
Good lick to you in your future endeavors and maybe if I get up your way we can meet again.
    Matt
